Besides providing fine instruments to professionals, one of Vienna Music Co.’s commitments is to promote young talented clarinetist who are looking for artistic assistance with better clarinets.
Upon recent visit, Filiphino clarinetist Hernan Manalastas has picked up a set of Advantage clarinets exclusively sponsored by F. Arthur Uebel and Vienna Music Co and he became our emerging artist.

Hernan is one of the busiest young clarinetists in Asia-Pacific region. He is the youngest member of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) and also serves as a faculty member of the Orchestra of the Filipino Youth of Ang Misyon, Inc. He earned his diploma in creative and performing musical arts at the University of the Philippines’ College of Music as he was principal clarinetist, soloist and concertmaster in various ensembles.

At 18 years old, he won First Frize in a clarinet category of the National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA) in 2008, an annual national event hosted by the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP).
Outside of the country, Hernan performed with Asian Youth Orchestra, ASEAN Contemporary Music Ensemble in Germany, and orchestras in Singapore and Thailand.
